About me

For a long time in my life, I have experienced a disconnection to my body. I didn't like how I looked, and my judging mind took over from feeling what my body needed. This hindered me in various ways, such as work and relationships.

In my early twenties, yoga came into my life. In yoga, I found back the connection with my body, but also with my mind and with something larger that we are all part of. I decided to do a yoga teacher training and after that, I was dedicated to continue with yoga. Both by practicing it myself and by teaching it to others.

The way I practiced yoga was by making time for it every day, and also by journaling. But the way I was teaching it was different: I taught classes of one hour at a gym but I could not access the daily lives of my students. Around me, I heard people who liked yoga classes but experienced stress again the moment they walked out of the yoga studio. Students, but also friends and colleagues that I talked to.

I was dedicated to making something that helps people take the feeling of a yoga class into their daily lives. Something that people can use in their own time and space, and adjust to their own needs, since every life is different. This is how the Yoga Journal was born: a journal that helps you choose for your body everyday. I hope this helps you in the same way that it helped me.
